THE DEAN

This piece was named because of its resemblance to a mortarbard. This work is all metal construction with ball bearing movement made from a roll of copper wire. The unique feature here is that this sculpture is solar powered. The 12" X 12" glass solar panel powers up the Ni Cad battery which drives the motor driven propeller . This in turn rotates the top portion of the sculpture as long as there is sunlight. It starts and stops at will and is completely silent.
This piece was commisioned by a couple of Professors and is loaded with inside jokes as Deans are the subject of much controversy at there house.

• Creek was by far the best friend that I ever had. An Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Healer) he dedicated his whole life (14 1/2 years) to "watching my back" and he was the best K-9 judge of character that I have ever seen or head of . Pound for pound he was as tough and smart of a dog as there is.
